TECHNICAL INFORMATIONS
I. Mounting instructions
Wheels from RONAL are products of high quality.
It is important to observe the following steps for correct fit and for maintenance:
1. Delivery
-
Please check whether the wheels were damaged on transport in consequence
due
to incorrect handling.
-
Transport damages have to be referred to the carriers without delay.
-
Please check whether the shipment is complete and in full accordance
with your order.
2. Application
-
In view of steady innovation of vehicles, it is indispensable to mount the
wheels first without the tires to make sure enough space is available to
brake caliper, springs, stabilisator etc.
3. Mounting of Tires
-
Before mounting wheels, carefully clean and
check for damage and wear.
Never lay wheels down on its front side as it may get damaged.
-
To mount the tires please use an assembly tool with rotating
head that
does not touch the wheel (no manual mounting). Please make sure that the
base of the wheel is not damaged by the breaker. Beads should be treated
with mounting paste. By means of safety, please make sure that your tires
always have the correct pressure (please refer to the recommendation of the
manufacturer).
Attention!
Wheels having a negative base rim have to be mounted from the rear side only.
4. Balancing
-
The balancing works of wheels should be executed on the balancing
machine
over the centre hole (centre lock flange).
Herefore please adjust tire width, diameter, and position. Electronic
balancing of the wheels on the car only is recommended, only in addition to
the above stationary balancing; not necessarily being required, however, in
most cases.
To avoid corrosion, stick-on weights should be used, if possible. When
balancing the wheel inside (with stick-on weights behind the spokes) please
make sure that there is sufficient clearance to any part of the brake
system.
5. Mounting of the wheels
-
The surface of the hub must be clean and free of burrs.
-
Please use only the mounting parts provided with each wheel.
Do not damage the bolt holes when mounting the wheel.
-
Please consider the torque as recommended by the manufacturer when
fitting
the wheel.
-
After 100 – 200 km the bolts/nuts have to be
newly tightened.
II. Maintenance
-
Regular cleaning (in case of polished wheels in 3 components every
week)
helps to keep the wheels clean and to take pleasure in them in the future.
-
For the wheels you may use the same cleaner as the ones you use to clean
your car. We would not recommend special wheel cleaners as they partly
contain acid substances. By no means should you wash the wheels with
steam jet, as the transparent coating might be damaged.
-
Metal cleaners, scouring pads or other materials that might scratch
the
surface shouldn't be used.
